A.A. isn’t about labels or judgment—it’s about people helping people. At meetings, you’ll meet others who understand because they’ve been where you are. You’ll hear honest stories, find encouragement, and see that recovery really is possible. There are no fees, no sign-ups, and no pressure. The only requirement is a desire to stop drinking.

Supporting Sobriety in Abbotsford and Matsqui—District 39

District 39 helps Alcoholics Anonymous members and newcomers in Abbotsford on their recovery journey. We provide meetings, A.A. literature, events, and coordination with treatment and correction facilities. Through education, fellowship, and community support, our district carries the A.A. message, strengthens sobriety, and offers practical resources while respecting anonymity and the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, and 12 Concepts.

District 39 helps Alcoholics Anonymous members and newcomers by reaching those still struggling with alcoholism. We work through our home groups, district committees, and fellowship to carry the message of recovery. Our efforts include distributing A.A. literature, hosting A.A.-oriented events, coordinating with corrections and local treatment facilities, and maintaining an informative website and newsletter.

Our district strengthens recovery through education, including Area 79 committee guidance, business quarterlies, PRAASA participation, and the annual Area 72 General Assembly.

This website follows the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, and 12 Concepts, respecting anonymity by not using last names. We do not endorse or affiliate with any outside organization.

A.A. District 39 exists to support sobriety, provide resources, and foster community, ensuring that everyone seeking recovery feels welcome and informed.
